Obviously, the average installation handyman would have no problem hanging your pictures wherever you tell them — and they’ll likely be installed properly. That’s what they do well: hang items where instructed.

But with all due respect… knowing how to hang a picture is one thing—

Knowing where to place it for the best visual impact is something else entirely.

And quite often, homeowners will ask for help when deciding how to arrange or position items in a way that artistically enhances the space. But many times, a handyman’s suggestions are simply… not exactly "inspiring", shall we say?

The big difference comes down to understanding how to use wall proportions and visual balance to complement the design flow of a room—and knowing which items are better suited to specific spaces for the best decorative results.

The reality is that most general handymen do not offer this type of specialized service.
